I began training in martial arts in 2018 at the age of 11 and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Over the years, that passion has grown from training twice a week to training twice a day, as I progressed into amateur MMA competition. I have since had the honour of representing the English MMA Team in both Uzbekistan and Georgia, and I continue to develop my skills as a martial artist and athlete.
Since joining Martial Art Concepts, I have completed my apprenticeship and achieved my Level 4 qualification in Sports Coaching. I now teach across all of our programmes, from Kung Fu Cubs through to our junior and adult classes.
I believe the benefits of martial arts extend far beyond physical fitness. For young children, martial arts helps to build confidence, discipline, focus and social skills within a positive, supportive environment. Our classes also develop important physical abilities while ensuring every child has fun and enjoys the learning process.
The most rewarding part of my role is seeing children who may start their journey feeling nervous or shy grow into confident young people with a love of learning, resilience, and skills that will benefit them for life.
